Whether it's larger surfaces or smaller decorative details, wood as a material offers a unique sense of familiarity, relaxation, and warmth in both indoor and outdoor spaces.
At NewWood, we have curated a large collection of garden items specially designed to endure time and weather conditions. We also offer a collection of wooden accessories that add touches of elegance to high aesthetic micro-constructions and spaces.
Softwoods are softer and more flexible than hardwoods, which is why they are used in building and construction, such as doors, windows, mouldings and furniture. Some softwood raw materials: Pine, spruce, fir, cedar, fir, larch (wild spruce), Douglas fir, coniferous fir, cypress, sequoia and tame fir.
On the contrary, hardwood stands out for its high strength and robustness. It comes from deciduous trees and is used in furniture making and decoration. Some hardwood raw materials: teak, rosewood, oak, cherry, walnut, chestnut.
Finally, NewWood processes tree trunk timber, which is peeled and naturally dried. The logs are cut into slices or grommets and each piece is unique.

It comes from tropical regions of our planet, with teak being the dominant species and woods from Africa and Asia, such as: iroko, niangon, meranti, sipo, sapele, oukoume etc.). The special characteristics of tropical timber are the high resistance to weathering due to the high density of the tissues, however, protection from varnishes is required. It is suitable for the construction of wooden frames, furniture and general outdoor constructions.
We have a huge variety of European hardwoods and offer great flexibility in logs, dimensions, cutting methods and timber from beech, oak, chestnut, etc. The main use of European timber is furniture and general interior construction.
American hardwood species (such as walnut, cherry, white oak, red oak, black walnut, poplar, etc.) present a wide range of colors, grains, and characteristics, from warm, darker tones of walnut, redheart, maple, cherry, and red oak, to lighter shades of white oak, sycamore, and ash. American hardwood is ideal for furniture and cabinet, as well as for interior wooden constructions such as doors, stairs, and paneling. Many manufacturers also choose this type of wood for flooring.

The term sawn timber refers to prismatic pieces of timber in various dimensions of thickness, width and length, produced mainly by axial (lengthwise) sawing of logs. Its production methods vary depending on the machinery used, the type of wood, the diameter of the log, the desired dimensions of the sawn/construction timber, the desired quality, the desired production quantity, etc. Main uses of sawn timber are the following: furniture; musical instruments; toys; frames; shipbuilding; building durability structures; roofing; skeletons; towels; furniture (rustic); profiles and floors.
The Greek reed is made from Greek reed, knitted with
galvanized wire and is also an economical, lightweight material that can be easily installed in any space.
Planed timber refers to smooth wood that is ready for installation. The wood is usually pine or spruce and originates from Sweden, Finland, Russia, or Austria. It is a kiln-dried product, meaning it has undergone artificial drying, resulting in fewer distortions, less splitting, and greater resistance to wood-eating organisms such as termites.
Engineered wood is one of the most emerging construction materials in Europe, combining unique mechanical and insulating properties with natural aesthetics and cost-effectiveness. Engineered wood is often used for outdoor constructions, especially if it has undergone special treatment to enhance its durability against weather conditions. It offers many benefits, particularly for the construction of structures in outdoor spaces (e.g., shelters, pergolas, kiosks, etc.). Some of these benefits include excellent structural strength, improved technical and aesthetic uniformity (eliminating imperfections such as knots and cracks), reduced impact from wood shrinkage and expansion, retention of wood's insulating properties, outstanding visual results, better resistance to compression, torsion, and bending, and, of course, a wide variety of available dimensions.
The natural durability of wood depends largely on the wood species, density, age of the tree from which it is cut, and the conditions under which it is used. These factors are always unstable, which is why wood pressure treatment is necessary for a wide range of applications. Pressure-treated wood, treated in a pressure vessel, becomes more resistant and protected from fungi and insects for many years.
Building timber is the timber used by building contractors to make concrete moulds or scaffolding to access buildings. Types of construction timber are formwork, orta beams, concrete blocks, laths, etc. Their origin is from central Europe, in particular Austria, Finland and Sweden.

The reed is made of cut bamboo reed sticks, about 10-15mm wide, woven with galvanized wire and is an economical lightweight material, easy to install. It is ideal for delineating some space in the garden and is a stylish decorative choice, enhancing the sense of nature, while it can provide privacy or shade.
Logs are pieces of wood with great natural durability, ideal for both indoor and outdoor use. They are used for pergolas, traditional ceilings, trusses, and many decorative applications. Logs are also ideal for fences and plant support.
