Functionality is a characteristic of successful interior and exterior constructions. That's why at NewWood, we offer a wide variety of options for surfaces and paneling that can achieve the desired style and create a distinct, long-lasting result.

SURFACES

01
PLYWOOD

Plywood consists of many thin sheets of veneer which are cut to the appropriate dimensions, pressed and glued together crosswise. The number of sheets is always odd, and special timber from logs as straight as possible is required. The thickness of the leaves may vary. More layers of leaves means greater strength. Plywood is a particularly popular construction material, as it is more durable than even solid wood. It is a construction material with excellent moisture resistance, with the right varnish, its beautiful waters can be brought out, and it is named for its history as a material for building small ships.

02
FILM FACED PLYWOOD

Betofilm, derived from "film faced plywood", is marine plywood covered with film for a better aesthetic effect on exposed concrete structures.

03
MELAMINS

Melamine is a synthetic polymeric material in a film, which has excellent resistance to scratches, abrasion and corrosives. Melamine material is used to cover particleboard and MDF for furniture manufacturing, as it is a less expensive, produced in a wide variety of colours and designs. Another important advantage of melamine is that, with the right finish, the end result is the closest thing to real wood.

04
OSB

OSB (Oriented Strand Board) is a flat structural timber board produced from a special type of wood chips (strands), bonded with a resin with high resistance to moisture and heat. It appeared on the market in 1981 as a wood-based panel with high mechanical strength for construction and has been predominant as a material in the Greek market for the last decade, as it is a durable, elastic and at the same time economical material. Its most common applications are the following: construction of exhibition stands, floor underlayment, industrial packaging and goods boxes, pallets, roofing boards and cladding panels for internal and external walls of prefabricated houses and other buildings, structural insulation panels (11mm thick external surfaces and internal foam core), in upholstery furniture parts (e.g.e.g. sofa frames, armchair frames, chair backs, etc.) where relatively increased mechanical strength is required.

05
MDF

MDF (Medium-density fibreboard) is an ideal substitute for solid wood. It is produced from pieces, fibres and wood scraps, combined with wax and a resinous binder, which, by applying high pressure and temperature, takes the desired shape as a raw material. As a material, it is denser than particleboard, and is used mainly in furniture making, as it can be machined and given any desired contour, curve or carving. In addition, because of its smooth surface, it can be easily finished and covered with various coatings (veneers, varnishes, lacquers, etc.), depending on the requirements of the construction in question. Some of its most common uses: in furniture (small furniture), exhibition structures, wall coverings.

06
WORKTOPS

We have worktops for kitchens and work areas in a huge variety of materials, colours and prices, so you can choose the ideal combination that will highlight the aesthetics and design you have decided for the space. Our team will guide you to select both the material and shade of your worktop and will help you either choose the right ready-made worktop dimension, or customise your chosen worktop to the dimensions required to fit your build.

PANELING

01
REED BAMBOO

The reed is made of cut bamboo reed sticks, about 10-15mm wide, woven with galvanized wire and is an economical lightweight material, easy to install. It is ideal for delineating some space in the garden and is a stylish decorative choice, enhancing the sense of nature, while it can provide privacy or shade.

02
REED GREEK

The Greek reed is made of Greek reed, braided with galvanized wire and is also an economical, lightweight material that can be easily installed in any space.

03
WICKER REED

The Kalamoti Lygaria is a kind of fence with strong roots in Greek tradition. Thanks to the elegant simplicity of its design, the quality of its rod and its strength, it is often found even in the most modern and well-designed gardens. The bushy wicker rod, which is held together in an organic whole at approximately 100mm intervals with galvanized wire, has a fine texture, natural brown colour and is an ideal choice for fencing, delineating individual garden sections, patio seating areas and terraces.

04
POLYCARBONATE SHEETS

Polycarbonate sheets are cellular and compact, with UV coating for protection against atmospheric agents and UV radiation. They are mainly used for complete arched constructions of greenhouses, roofs, patios, architectural structures. They are available in various thicknesses and colours.

05
POLYURETHANE PANELS

Polyurethane panels are composite solid thermal insulation panels, which consist of two shaped metallic galvanized, electrostatically painted, laminated sheets, between which there is a rigid polyurethane foam. Due to the very high thermal insulation they provide, as well as sound insulation, damp proofing and a high strength/weight ratio, they are often used to cover industrial buildings, but also metal prefabricated houses, portable housing and in the construction of cold rooms.

06
RABOTE CEILING

Rabote is a thin, one-sided wooden board with grooves and is used to clad interior walls and ceilings. The timber used is pine, spruce and chestnut.

07
BIPROFIL PANELING

A biprofile is a thick two-sided wooden board that serves as a floor and roof at the same time, e.g. in the construction of wooden lofts. The timber used is pine, spruce and chestnut.
